Hey Friends!

"Though the fig tree should not blossom, nor fruit be on the vines, the produce of the olive fail and the fields yield no food, the flock be cut off from the fold and there be no herd in the stalls, yet I will rejoice in the Lord; I will take joy in the God of my salvation. God, the Lord, is my strength; he makes my feet like the deer's; he makes me tread on my high places. To the choirmaster: with stringed instruments." (Habakkuk 3:17-19)

Hey friends,
I just wanted to give a quick update on my life since graduation. Really, not too much has changed since graduation as far as job status or stuff for next year. I have been looking for a teaching position in the College Station Area for 5 months and have had only one interview. This is really a trying process and definitely discouraging. I looked for a summer job for while I was in Denton, but I was unable to get one because of my teaching classes. So, right now, I spend a lot of time alone and at home. This is a really big switch from the busy college life and living with 8 other girls. I am taking alternative certification classes so that I can teach middle school next year. I am enjoying the classes and I am excited about being a teacher! Mark leaves for the Middle East in less than two weeks and I am pretty excited about him going, but it is also hard knowing that I won't get to talk to him for 6 weeks. Hopefully, by the time he comes back, I will have a job!

That is a quick update on somethings going on in my life. The verses posted above are kind of the theme verses for this summer.

You did it! You got a blog. Now, you have to keep it updated. I'll be checking. :) I'm sooo sorry I missed your phone call. I wanted to call you back today, but now I have to fold laundry and get ready to go to church. Tomorrow work for you? I'm sorry about the change of pace, but it sounds like almost a good thing in some ways. The Lord will teach you tons, I'm sure. Maybe you can make some new friends. How can we pray for Mark on his trip? I love you and miss you tons. I used your placemats the other day!!!

Hi, Jenn! I got to your blog thru Jamie's. I hope you and Mark are enjoying this time of your lives. My prayer is that you will both seek the Lord daily to strengthen your relationship with each other.

Hang in there this summer, especially when Mark is gone! Please know that if you ever need a break, you are always welcome at my home any time.
